Ignition coil
While running my hammer today on some blacktop I had a rollover[:'(] I was running without the body on(I know stupid!) It didn't break the spark plug but put a pretty good tear in the plug wire[:@]Looking at the parts breakdown in the manual it's hard to tell.My question is do you have to remove the engine to put a new coil assy. in? Also what is involved in replacing the coil? Is it just a swap out? Do you have to adjust anything?[] I learned my lesson now,no more running with the body off!!

RE: Ignition coil
I think I forgot to mention that the tear is right on the plug boot itself. Can the whole boot and a piece of the wire be replaced with this kit?[][&o]

RE: Ignition coil
I don't run with the complete body. I have the same type of cut in mine form doing the same thing.[:@] The boot is just that, a boot over the plug wire. It will work just fine with the cut but I would think you could carefully cut it off and get a new boot at the small engine shop or auto dealer, right? I also added some foam and electrical tape on the 1st roll bar and that seems to take the hit and not the plug.

RE: Ignition coil
Thanks btb,Iput a ty-wrap around it and it seems to hold it down pretty good As long as it's going to work and not have any starting problems I'll leave it like that[sm=thumbup.gif]

RE: Ignition coil
You probley didn't hurt the coil, but if you did I think I read somewhere that the air gap is between .010in to .014in or 0.254mm to 0.3556mm. Part's for the Zenoah->[link]http://www.davesmotors.com/store/g230rcparts.html[/link]

RE: Ignition coil
Where do I find either one of these?[] I don't see anything at DDM[&o] Got any links? I think I'll try a small engine repair shop first
