Default Lacking in the speed department

Well, finally got the FG Leopard broke in and went to run it on the blacktop. It barley was doing 35mph.. is this fast or is it slow for the buggy. It seems to be reved out good and is running fine not to rich. Has the stock gearing and I am running 32 to 1 ratio gas with Maxima Castrol 927 two stoke oil If this is the top speed a two speed is definately in order.. Any opinons are welcome...

i was about to say 35mph is about average for a stock FG, that was until i noticed you have a pipe (samba?) which chould take it above 40 no probs, does it feel/sound like its holding back when your doing over 1/2 throttle to WOT ? if so then you might need to adjust the HSN just a tad

Check to make sure the carb butterfly is opening all the way at WOT.

36MPH is what RC Driver magazine clocked it at. So you are running it pretty close. I see you have the stock pipe which is fine. A Samba pipe exits on the side, the Stock pipe exits towards the bottom. This is why there is a cut-out on the chassis for it.
