FG MT body on marder beetle
i have a marder beetle (see avator) and would like to mount a monster truck body on it
so far i have bought:
monster truck body shell
16/48 gearing
MT wheels
longer front axles
Rear 9.5mm & Front 17mm wheel squares
MT front shock tower & body mounts
is there anything else i need? i was thinking of this as a marder with truck body/wheels rather than going the whole 9 yards with the side plates and extra shocks etc if they are not necessary
would someone with an MT be able to post close up pictures of the front of their truck / shock tower assembly?
am i right in thinking that the MT is a marder but with different shock towers body mounts more shocks side plates etc? or are there different chassis holes etc?
where do the side plates mount at the rear of the MT? could someone post a picture of that too?
Thanks v much everyone

Bah, I thought you were gonna turn it into a pick up truck, not a monster beetle with a MT body! I demand you stick the shell on, but not the wheels and take a picture, post haste!
Might be interesting to stick Marder wheels on my MT...

The front end is completely different on a monster truck. You will have to cut new holes in the body for front mounts and you will aslo have nowhere to mount the body from the wholes on the side..

alot of the time the truck would have marder or onroad wheels, it looks awesome with the marder wheels
the side mounts aren't so important, i wont be driving it hard or flipping it often (hopefully)

RE: FG MT body on marder beetle
i'll trade some pics of my sexi new stadium truck for some pics of the shock tower assembly on the MT
are the monster beetle mounts much different? would it be easier to mount those ones instead and then cut the new body holes in the MT shell?

RE: FG MT body on marder beetle
I have the MT body on my MB and I like the MB body much better. I think the truck looks better, but the MB body is a LOT tougher. I ran my MB with the MT body last weekend and I broke 2 spark plugs during rollovers, I have never broken a plug with the MB body on. I also ripped the tailgate area in 2 spots the first time I ran the MT body. I am going to mount the MB body back on when I run it.
