no need to appologise imo, its the net, 99.9% of us knew what you meant

my god if i had to appologise everytime ive typed words (slang) such as brb, kk, lol, etc... I'd still be here next xmas typing it!

anywayz onto topic, i think it be good if HPI released a MT, more competition the better

Alright, here we go!

Duratrax has a truck called the warhead. This is a nitro, but stay with me. It has the ability to be a monster and a trophy by locking the suspension. Maybe this is an idea for the next truck!![sm=50_50.gif]

I don't know, maybe it would fall into the category of "master of non!"
Just a thought

Class 8 trophy trucks are 4X4. Seen them in action in person. Rent a movie called dust to glory. You will learn all about the classes and see them race. Not as cool as in person but still a cool movie.
I rented dust to glory tonight and just finished watching it [8D] Very cool movie indeed. I've always loved all forms of off roading and the movie really puts you in the action. The motorcycle rider that did the whole race himself 18+ hours without any other team drivers to take over, that's incredible. I bet he was sore for a couple weeks

Jeepfreak, I'm assuming you have a 72 right?

1972 is the year I was born. Mine was a 1999 TJ with about $10,000 worth of upgrades and that was without labor. Did all the work myself. I sold it 2yrs. ago. If I get another Jeep it will be a Willys pre 54. I don't like the 3 B's high hood. A 52-53 cj2a wold be just dandy.

Gas is to get you to work. If you want to go fast you need NITRO. wo

yea, put a nitro on a 22 lb car and watch it burn up a clutch just tring to get it going.... unless your usieng a thundertiger 3200S or the like.
Nitros for Small RC. the real RCs Use GAS and 2cycle oil baby.

Rumor mill also had that Traxxas was working on 1/5th scale gas revo.....but who knows.

A 1/5th scale Revo does sound cool, hope they do it.

This is my first post here so hello to everyone.
I've been in and out of RC cars. Started with a tamaiya hotshot back in the 80's, then I bought a clod buster somewhere along the line and then a t-maxx when they first came out.
I just bought a used traxxas monster buggy, to see if giant scale was for me.
Well heck yeah it is.
After running this thing my T-maxx is kidof "yeah whatever". these big cars are just plain awesome.
Already looking around and will probably be buying something new soon. Thanks to this forum I know whats out there for choices now.

I see the price for the moster buggy has dropped, I don't know if that means they are going to drop it, or if the competition in 1/5 1/6 is starting to pick up??
Anway thanks for a great forum here.

Compitition has Deffinatly stepped up with the HPI Baja now. I was on the CEN Forum the other day and even CEN is R&Ding a 1/5th. prolly along the lines of a Genisis ST. but a Matrix 1/5 type could be DAMN COOL!. but id still prefer that CEN bring a F1 or atleast an OnRoad to the table first. I LOVE My CEN CT5, and would kill to get an onroad if they make one. the ct5 is an amazing deal for the cost imo. so id expect their 1/5ths to be very competitivly priced to the Baja.

welcome to the rhelm of BIG RC. its hard to play with my tmaxxs now, i still do, but..

The monster buggy has been around for a while, so I think that it has a lot of pressure from the newer cars so that is why it's cheaper. I have a Firehammer, and I was going to make my next one the Baja, but if hpi releases a truck of some sort, I think I will wait for that!

I have a 22 lb nitro (was a CEN Genesis) but the clutch is a heavy duty helicopter unit I found in the '80s.
My other car is a Baja 5B. If I got another 1/5 scale it would have to be 4WD monster truck, it would be cool if HPI or CEN did one

Did you make that set up?
I like the fact that it's differant. Nice.

So what do you guys think of the idea from the warhead suspension for the next truck? The more I think about it, I think it's kind of a neat idea.

The biggest reason the Traxxis monstter buggy is cheaper than say an HPI baja 5b is it doesn't come with a radio. Don't get me wrong even if it had one I still wouldn't pay half as much for it as I would an Hpi baja.

True, Maybe they learned something when they showed the Baja so early and the flamed discussions started.
