Default Two questions on MT

Do you have to remove the rear lower arms to remove the sway bar? And, has anyone else managed to dent their diff??????? I couldn't believe it when i saw two dents in the diff after only about 20-25 mins of run time...

no you don't have to remove arms to take swaybar of its quite easy really also stock diff cover is crap you need to replace it with this http://www.kingcobra.co.uk/news/newsitem.php?id=488

you can order that kcr diff cover from www.sbracing.co.uk

hope this helps

How do you access the screws on the arms to remove the sway bar?

actually, i did remove the arms to take the sway bar off. as for the dents in the diff, its normal, dont worry though, it wont affect it really but do get the thicker one as an upgrade, a well spent 20 bucks.

You dont have to remove them, just get a right angled allen key and undo the screw that holds in the plastic arm for the sway bar. Its a bit fiddly and time consuming but better then having to strip the rear arms off.

I have already posted this picture twice to this thread but I will do it again to show where there spacers go:

Look for the section:
Off-road Diff Risers/Savers Installation (PN.7068)

On this page for my original inspiration on this issue:

This is a post from kengentry5000. This is a post for a firehammer, and about raising the diff. I to have a Firehammer, but from what I can see the Diffs are pretty close, if not the same. There is a kit for a 10mm spacer that you can install. I found a post on the same thread that said they used a kitchen cutting board.
Hope this helps a bit.

Try this. The silicone is a must even with the stock dif cover.

Interesting, that looks like that would do the job! I have a metal pinion gear on the way, so why I have some of the rear area opened up I thought I would raise the diff, but what a job to do that. If the silicone works, I'm on like donkey kong!

Do not remove the sway bar, just undo it from the back of the shock mount.

It makes a great carry handle
