Default LST piggy backs on my MB ?

i had a LST shock configuration on my old 1/8 Savvy and seen someone doing it on there 1/6 new era alloy savage and been really thinking about it for my FG MB they are a 25 mm body , 5 mm shock shaft and they are over 141 mm long .. i think the LST piggy backs look sweet .. but my concern would be clearance and are the shocks big enough ? i dont have any diagrams to cross reference too and any input would be great ..

......not "FIRM" enough to stand up to the weight of a 1/5 scale off (or) on-road car, but hey thats just my opinion.

The 25mm bore is 5mm LARGER than FG MT-5 shocks and 9mm LARGER than FG Marder/Firehammer shocks. They might not fit through the holes in the A-Arms. Seems like hellya put up some pictures of a buggy he built for a customer that used those shocks. If these were the same shocks, they were longer in the rear and required a taller shock tower bracket.

I have looked at these Integy MSR-6 shocks several times because a set of four is about $100. The FG alloy shocks are quite a bit more than that.

If you get them mounted put up some pictures.

I fitted 4 Integy MSR-6 to the back of an FG ST they are a bit longer and a good bit wider than FG shocks as they touch each other unless you use spacers top and bottom, at the top you have to modify the top shock mount to fit a M8 bolt or some other mounting device as the hole in the shock is a lot bigger, at the bottom you need to drill out the ball joint of the shock slightly to take the FG shock mount. If have since fitted ball drive and the furtherst forward of the two shocks rubs on the rubber gator, so I am now only runing two shocks at the back but it seems ok with the shock adjusters screwed down. I think you can buy stiffer springs anyway. With four shocks on the suspension was a lot smoother than FG and could take the weight no problem, if you screwed in the adjusters it was actually stiffer and it doesn't sound like creaky bed springs anymore!

I used those shocks, they are bigger/ taller than FG shocks....... you have to make a longer rear shock tower adapter to fit those shocks to the rear.

These shocks work great on the stock front shock tower...............check out the MB
