#7497 brakes ?
i recieved my 7497 brake set up to mate on my alloy gear carrier but seems as if im missing something on the brake lever ... is there more parts im in need of ? there seems to be no part that puts pressure onto the pads .. ? ..
also i have everything that is pictured .. but the stock Brake rod has a flat that apply's pressure and this one doesnt it has 2 tapped holes that nothing lines up with ....

o0o your kiddding .. theres no plate that bolts onto it , it uses bolts ..........i understand it now but think its kinda mickey mouse [:@]

There are 2 bolts which screw into the shaft. They are what puts presure on the pads. Call me or come by and we can put them in.

You use the aluminum one against the carrier and the brake pad (metal one) should have the two allen head screws pushing against it. Use locktight. The upgrade is well worth it to.

Yeah I had a tough time also, but what I got to work great is 1)use fine grit sandpaper to take off a thin layer off the brake pads(as much as you need to) 2) use the metal backing plate said earlier, and 3) bend the brake lever approx 30-35 degrees(as needed) to fit with the linkage. I gotta say that upgrade is a must- I can lock em up with ease. Good luck
