Default Tire Size & Speed?

Hi All, Won't putting shorter wheels on a RC give it less top end & more off the line?[sm=confused.gif] PS: 1 inch difference 7&1/2 to 6&1/2!

We had a math wiz friend calculate it for us at 2222.2 rpms at the dif. If the tire is 6" tall you need to multiple it times 3.14 to give you the rolling dia. of 18.84 inches so 18.84 times 2222.2 gives you 418666.248 inches per minute (418666.248 /12) or 3488.854 feet per minute. So when you multiply that by 60(minutes in an hour) you will get 209331.24 feet per hour divide that by 5280(feet in a mile) you come up with 39.64mph. You can substitute the height of the taller tire and recalculate for the Monster truck speed.

Hi Guys
I am only new to large scale and read about the foam inserts in the tires of my FG hummer. How do i remove the tire to get rid of the foam insert. I don't want to ruin the tires as they are brand new.
They seem to be well stack on the rim
Cheers
Spiros

[8D] Hi rchotel, The tires are glued on[:@]. I don't know if you can remove them with out messing them up! If you are trying to get away from the bouncing you can do a fue thing's, First remove the rear swaybar, & you can drill two holes 3/16 or around 4.7625 mm in the center of each tire 180 degrees from each one that will help on the ballance of the tires, & you can change the shock oil weight to around 40 or 50 in the rear &30 to 40 on the front. Good Luck,

to remove the tires from the rims is simple, long but simple, get a big pot and boil the water, then drop it in boiling water and let it boil on the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes per wheeel, then pull it out ( carefull, its very hot at this point) and apply pressure to the tires where its glued by pushing downwards with your thumbs, it will pop off the rim, do it all around and your tire will break free, i removed my foams a few months back also, was much to bouncy for my like, since then i love how it handles.
