RE: Not a good day
after some issues with onboard failsafes and interferance, i went for the better protection offered by the 2.4 stuff. ESPECIALLY With these big Bastages of RCs.
Nomadio React/Sensor, Spektrum offer integrated failsafes that work great when set up correctly. i use the speky, and the ONLY issue i have had is when my RX battery is new its Low limit. i get some nasty glitching on the troatle servo when the rx is low, so i just dont let it get low. i have a NiMH pack, and charge it up after every 5 or 6 hrs of use. the Nomadios have low rx battery failsafe features built into them as well. unfortunatly Speky missed that one. the Nomadio is also 4 chnl and online updatable so you can download an update instead of buying a new system!
as soon as i get the extra cash im getting the React. for 300.00 its a great investmetn into my 1500.00 and growing Baja investment..lol
sucks to see that, when it happened were you already running, or did you just start it up? new area? what radio you using? batts good all around, tx too?

RE: Not a good day
the area isnt a new 1 i go there quite a bit with the cars & nitro bike.I was running a little about 10 min tops when it took off for the fence. All the batteries were charged & new in the radio. The radio I have is an FM futaba magnum 3pm but it has an XTM throttle servo. I thought about changing it for a hitec servo. The failsafe is the stock hammer 1 i think ,I have the green venom failsafe in the bike & its the only one that hasnt caused glitching in the bike so maybe put 1 in the hammer now too i dunno..

Man, that stinks. I know what your going through. I am in the process of rebuilding my MT after a run-away. Full speed into a telephone pole. The more I take it apart, the more damage I see.
Good Luck with the re-build

Yeah i have the pmt F1 tires for the parking lot & they work pretty good when they get a little heat in them..I also have a few sets of touring car tires but they are alot smaller so a gearing change would be needed for the same top end..
