Any one have the MCD Race Runner V4 competition?
Wondering who here might have this buggy and what they think of it. Is it a good stable platform out of the box or does it need up grades? Looking at the web sites for about $180 the competition looks to be the way to go over the sport model. If you have one pictures would be nice mostly with the body off.
Thanks!

Here is mine V4 comp
The car is very stable and handles very good
If you run stock g270 engine no upgades needed. If you run g290 with pipe and you do it in hot weather, the alloy gear carrier is good upgrade.
Here is some vid

Hard to tell from the picture but are you running single steering servo or dual? Where I live it is HOT about 4 months out of the year! Yesterday evening do to clouds it was 88 degrees with a heat index of 99 degrees. This time of the year anything under 95 is considered cool. Worst part is the humidity. Yes I have been told the alloy gear plate is recommended.
Thanks!

Just watched the video looks like it is running on rails. Right now I have is a HPI 5b SS. I use to race 1/8 buggies and miss 4 wheel drive. Unfortunately there is not a large scale track with in 400 miles of me any more and I sure do miss racing.
I have 4 engines one in the 5b SS.
Thanks

I run two multiplex rhino digi 4 servos.
Sometimes we have mixed races (2wd and 4wd together) Hpi bajas, mcd, fg and smartech. My car is the fastest on the track on about 2 seconds from the each lap.
Now i'm experimenting with car setup to make better results. I run standard setup now

Unfortunately you no longer can get Rhino in the US. Hitec has one that is suppose to replace it but it is a little slower.
