Need a good differential
Hi, im in the market for two new diffs for my FG's todays i blow both of completely out. When i took the diffs out i had metal teeth falling out. Is there any good ones out there that can take a serious beating? I drive them hard and maybe the stock gears couldnt take the new power band. Give me some idea's guys
Also has anyone ever rebuild a diff with stronger gears? is it alot cheaper?
Thanks again.

RE: Need a good differential
your gears broke because the stock diff case flexes and brakes throwing every thing out of wack. i run the fg 8484 upgade kit with a ported 29cc with a jetpro v2 in my mt5. they have lasted 1 year and still going strong.

^^ thanks now we're getting somewhere. so before i dish out $605.00 for the elcon i can just get a stronger case and those probs will end? even though it's only happend to me once. i did see a stainless steal case.

RE: Need a good differential
FG Perf RC said to use a thick coating of grease on the gear faces but not to pack it. I put the thick coating on, ran it for a while and then opened it back up. The excess grease was thrown toward the center of the diff so I don't know if too much grease is really helping.
