RE: 4 x 4 conversion
I would love to here some info on these too. I ask RC NUTS about them because I wondered about belt slippage on the Kamotiro and he said he never got to open any of the kits because they sold so fast. He also said he had not had any complaints yet.

RE: 4 x 4 conversion
I figured they would sell fast. I would just like to hear and see some reviews. B4 I fork out the $$$$$. The only vids out there are how the truck drives, which is great. I would also like to see pics or vids with the body off to see what it looks like and if my jerpro V2 pipe will b in the way. I think I was just spoiled from the nitro 4wd's and how they were a little easier 4 me to control. With that said, 5th scale is still better to me though.

It looks to me in the videos I saw that the truck looked seemed to handle better with the 4x4 conversion. I have the same pipe as you and would like to know if it would work too. I guess we are in the same boat. Maybe if we keep this thread going someone who has one will chime in.

I agree with you 100%. I am also wondering how durable the conversion kit is & if parts are readly available for it. Hopefully rcnuts will get some pics of the kit installed on a FGMT soon.

I am not building an MT. I am building a marder race with the 4wd kit and the toureg body conversion kit. once I sell my Hummer, I will also get a racerunner and can compare the two 4wd setups.

Yes I have the chain drive kit and it is very strong. The "guy" you are referring to is Chris with Bigboystoys & hobby so no I am not him. I was the first person I know of to get on of these kits long before anybody knew about them with the idea of selling to the public but Chris made them available to the public first. If you want to see an example of what it can do type FG 1 5 in the search engine on Ebay & watch the video. A 2wd MT5 doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell against this kit. It's not just the 4wd, the kit replaces the entire chassis making it a totally different truck.

I am the one who sold the German chain drive kit for $950. You are looking at a different kit, something new and I believe it is a belt drive system.

34 Ford, Yes you are looking at the belt kit for $850. The chain is $1350 with lots of alloy and it comes assembled. You have to use your truck to complete it.
