RE: first rc
I ince a long time ago had a Tamiya Quick Drive Buggy.
Then 20 years later I bought a couple of the MatchBox sized *****ar clones. After that I decided I wanted a REAL RC, and on eBay Germany this ugly green Leopard Race was calling out (Buy Me, Buy Me, Buy Me) And I couldn't resist.
Except for the Rear wheel drive cups, the bottom plate, the roll cage and the shell, all parts have been replaced. (Full Alu... what now.. Where to get some Titanium )

Mine was also the Black foot - man that truck took a beating! I then stepped up to the 1987-88 RC10 Team car with black chassis. My son just stepped up from that being his first RC. He stepped up to the Firehammer with spectrum set at putput speed.

RE: first rc
It has been a long time, let me think now hmmmmm maybe it was a Tamiya buggy of some sort.I have since been thru about 30 electrics,40 nitros, and 5 gassers.Gas and nitro planes and helis slowed down my rc cars purchases.I sure do hate thinking of all the moooolah i have spent on this stuff, but it hasn't detered me at all cause i just got an FGMT on top of my baja.I am happy,my wife is happy that i am happy. We are a big happy family.I live for this stuff like a lot of others here.

My first one was this Tamiya electric buggy. I don't remember what they called it. It was around 1982. But it had an injection molded plastic body and the front suspension was a scale like suspension of the VW Beetle, trailing arm suspension. After that I got serious and bought an Associated RC 500 and raced 1/8 on road nitro until about 1992. In '88 I upgraded to a Serpent Excel.
