I've already added the Outerwear Airfilter and pullstart filter. What do the shock covers do since the shaft on the shock already has a rubber boot?

I have them on and they do help keep crud off the shocks. I think ultimately its for looks.
I like mine very much if I had to do it again I would buy them again, just for the 40% funtional and 60% looks.

When the shock shafts are exposed to the elements they will eventually get pitted and that will result in leaky shocks. The shafts are pretty hard steel, but they can only take so much abuse.
