Largest available motors for 1/5 scale
I have a 30.5 CY and love it. I would like to get a little radical and try something different in my truck. Has anyone ever tried another type of motor in an MT or any other Large Scale RC for that matter. Not including 1/4 scale, that motor stays in my truck.
Thanks

I like that MarJet, its pretty bad ass BUT, I am one of those guys who likes to see the rooster tail behind my truck from the tires kicking it up. Thats part of the fun of the 2wds with HUGE power.
HMMMMM, a 45cc from a plain. Would that work?
I'm trying to find a 1/4 scale motor, which I think range from 42cc to around 50cc, not quite sure about the sizes though.
Thanks guys

I saw the first pics of a 38cc zenoah on a boat site recently. I looked like a little larger version of the 260. NO announced date of availability. It was a marine engine.

I've heard many times that the plane engines do not have the higher RPMs like the car engines, but I could be wrong. I don't know for sure.

they don't spool up as high as the cars....usually around 7500-8500 rpm for plane engines...over reving them they will explode or break up bad....also most plane engines are case reed's....power to weight ratio is awesome on them though...a 23cc rc car engine is around 5lbs...50cc da50 is [email protected]100 around [email protected]'m sure if ya could gear a car for the lower rpm engine it'd be one bad ***** machine
