I use delta cad and its only 60bucks or so. It is very easy to learn and works for just about any flat part you would want to make. It will output into DXF too so you can load into a cam program.

a mate just put me onto a site where you can get nearly any program or application - warez.bb is its name - just google it, you have to register to view but OMG its all there, solidworks, autocad... the lot

yeah i have that for buildings, i will try to get it up on here. i have a sample i did for it.
