Default help! loose gears

Hi there,

I hit a kerb with my FG Mt , now there seems to be a lot of play on the main spur gear and a rattle/ whirring noise. I loosened the engine mount screws and tried to push the engine back but it didn't make a difference. I have never taken apart the gears and back section before so I'm a bit nervous incase I can't get it back together again. There are no large scale model shops in Republic off ireland to help so any input would be great.
Thanks .

Hi,
have you looked to see wether the trianglar metal plate that goes from the diff holder to the engine has moved, you might need to adjust that at the same time as moving the engine.

hi,
don't forget to totally remove the screw out of the Abracket just below the carb and also loosen the two allen key bolts that hold engine to side plates then loosen the 4 screws underneath and all should move sweetly, i,ve literally just done mine having forgot side screws couldn,t move it a mm[]completly cured the horrible grating noise

Cheers Tufty,

Didn't think about the side & carb screws went straight for the 4 bottom mount screws.
Nice one !

Hi There Tufty,

I'm actually South African and played a bit of Rugby myself. Weather isn't great expecting sleet and hail but fear not ! I'm going to S.A for 3wks . I just wish could take mt and Carson C5 with me , unbelievable terrain to driveon out there .

Hey Tufty,

The screw below the carb, is that the one Guy was referring to on the trangular bracket ?
