Default Fuel line questions!

Hi, just wondereing what the black pipe is for i thought it was for air pressure. But i disconnected it and fuel came out. Also i was going to replace these both with braided lines, does the yellow fuel one have to hit the bottom of the tank and hoe far should the black one go in?
Thanks
Guy

The black fuel line should go all the way into the bottom of the tank ( that's your pickup line with the filter on it) the yellow one does not have to go in to the bottom that's your fuel return line no filter is on it.

From my understanding of other posts it will slowly eat away at your line causing small particles to get into your carb & gas tank. But double check me on this, because I would like to use some nitro fuel lines. How long have you had the nitro line on?

nitro tubing will not hold up to gasoline. Call any hobby shop owner and he will tell you the same. Good grade of tygon yellow hose is the way to go. About a dollar a foot or maybe a bit more. I buy it 50 ft at a time.

BTW You might want to check your local lowes, home depot, walmart, or lawn mower parts supplier. Most places that sell maintenance parts for lawn mowers, and weedwackers will have the fuel line you need and it'll probably be cheaper than what you'll find at a hobby shop.

Nitro lines are silicon which is not compatable with gasoline, you should use tygon or neoprene for gasoline.
