Default Spektrum 2.4 Stick?

I am looking for advice on Spektrum 2.4 GHz Stick transmitter systems.
I require 3 channels for throttle, steering and brakes, and an additional 4th channel for remote engine kill switch, on My FG leopard.

The Spektrum surface only has 3 channels and no stick transmitters on offer.
The plug in modules for JR Futaba etc are only 3 channels.

I have checked with the BRCA and I can use the air DX7 or DX6 stick systems.
However the DX7 system Twin RX set up is too large to fit in an FG RX box.

The DX6 system RX will fit into an FG RX box, but the technical specification recommends that the RX is not near any large conductive surfaces.

I think an FG alloy chassis is a large conductive surface, LOL!

Any ideas?
Regards, Mark

DO a search on Nomadio React radio or the Sensor radio anyone one of these will solve all of your radio needs for the surface

I think you should take another look at the dx7 2 part receiver. I could probably fit three of them in my FG Rx box. The dx7 receiver is surprisingly small and will easily fit in the FG rx box

the dx7 recievers are tiny...and they can use analog or digital servo's. My concern would be the ratcheting throttle a stick radio offers. You could buy the heli version which is a spring throttle stick. It'll be one confusing setup with a dx7 however since cars don't use near what planes and heli's do as far as settings go. But it could be done.

I am sure you can find some way to mount the dual rxs from the DX7, I use a DX7 myself in heli mode on my pocket bike conversion and it works very well, even with an all metal frame. I am using 4channels of it so far. brakes, steering, throttle and yes even ignition kill.....I am using the AUX 2 switch for that feature. Just takes some thought to be able to use the features/settings of the DX7 for surface use.
Good Luck.
Chris.

It is surprising that a stick 3 channel Tx hasn`t been brought out as i would prefer one, even though the trigger one is easier enough to use. I think it`s more of a european thing using stick for cars as in the states they mainly use trigger TX so i suppose they went for the bigger market.

Thanks guys for all your imput.
I was going to buy a module for my 9ZAP, but now I have been re asured that the DX7 is the way to go for me
I can easy remove the mode 2 elevator spring and fit it to the ratchet throttle
