    HPI Baja 5B-Receiver Battery/Charger ?

    Gang,
Are all of you using the included and much recommended wall charger for the Baja. It says its a 6 hour charge for 45 minutes of life. Can we buy extra batteries or are there other chargers we can use at the track/bashing spot?
    cheers
    John

I never used the wall charger with my Baja. Actually, I never used the original battery either. You can use any charger as long as it can charge 5 cell Nicd/Nimh batteries and has an adjustable charge rate. HPI has a new high capacity battery for the Baja, or you could get one from Promatch also.

you get the most bang for your buck with this charger. http://advantagehobby.com/product.ph...cat=411&page=1 as for a battery here is your best deal. http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product2032.html it will last more than twice as long as the stock one.

Start off by draining the battery with an automotive taillight. These packs do not take a good charge until they have been cycled a few times. I cycled the packs 3 or 4 times to bring them back to life and now I get loads of run time out of both of my stock baja batteries.

I made a pack out of one of my old gp 3300 packs I had lying around. I keep the stock batter for a backup, just in case
