Default tuning questions

evr since puttin the DDM pipe on my firehammer MT, i notice when the truck is cold ( first started ) it runs great, even does wheelies [X(], after like 5mins of runnin, it starts to bog a lil on the low end, should i lean it out or richen it? temps outside range from 70ish to 80ish deg, the needle settings are like 1-1/4 on both needles, and it smokes pretty good at idle, not much when runnin full throttle, also runnin 25:1 premix

Hot engine needs more fuel. But IMO it's better to proceed with full tuning procedure with control of spark plug color.

That bogging on the low end is normal for 23cc motors. [8D]

what you are describing is actually the clutch. the cold clutch grabs harder than a hot one. nothing is wrong with your motor. get diffrent springs or clutch with diffrent material. if it's running fine and putting out smoke leave it alone. i've seen so many motors burnt up because of Over tuned motors (fiddling with the carb to much) than there should be. theese motors run good 95% of the time. the 5% of horsepower you will gain form the "perfect tune" is not worth it.

My FGMT doesn't have the snap off the line anymore, and bogs initially then once moving it opens up and goes zoom !

It doesn't pop wheelies off the holeshot, and the rear shocks sag as if the springs are soft, is it a power or squat thing ?

need more air initially ? Oh and it runs great as it is set now.

again i say look at the clutch. if the inside of the bell is glazed ot the shoes are worn down it will not bite. how old is yout clutch? any pulling or low speed hill climbing or rock crawling type stuff? that all will cause the clutch to slip and wear it out.
