Default I'm Back and better than ever

Hi guys I am back into largescale world as I missed it far to much as I said in my 'come back' thread on here.

I have now got a Hormann HT2 Race Evolution. I have always liked the Hormann over the FG cars, but could never afford one untill now. I ordered the model from PG Racing some 6-7 weeks ago. Well worth the wait.
The model arrived today and she is big, but so sexy with all that shiny alloy.

I orderd the car with the wider rear wheels and tyres. The car comes with a Zenoah 26cc engine, Twin Air filter, Harm Hydros, Graphite radio, hydro master cylinder mounting plates. Very nice bit of kit. OK enough of me rabbling on, here she is out of the box

Harm Hydros
2 master cylinders
4 anodised calipers
4 vented discs
brake fluid
Other bits are in the box like, pipe, screws (hardware) etc...

I have not had hydros before, so thats could to be intresting.

You spend quite a lot on money on a car like this and you still get a FG receiver box, i meam, I am sure Hormann could make something.

I plan on painting the shell in the solour scheme of the Spyker F1 team livery - Orange and grey

Servos???

I have a Futuba 3PK HRS which needs digital servos. I am going to get x1 Multiplex Rhino for the steering, but what would be suitable for the throttle and rear brake and front brakes?? I though something along the lines of a Hitec 5945MG High Torque Digital Servo (Metal Geared) http://www.modelsinmotion.co.uk/prod...417&tamiya=258 x 2??

Cheers

Darren

Hi steve,

Its great to be back.

Please tell whats the new shell?

I am a little stuck of servos and what to get. A guy on Nene forum said this servo - http://www.modelsinmotion.co.uk/prod...417&tamiya=258 - over a hitec one like a mentioned in my first post. I have had Hitec before and they have never let me down.

I was thinking of getting 1 Mpx Rhino for the steering

what for the throttle and brake?

what for the front brakes?

I have ordered the carbon chassis stiffners

Cheers

Hi darren,
Yes they are good servo's the Ace, not sure if they have any in stock as my mate tried to get some yesturday, but you could use this on both (front and gas/rear brake) just check the holding power. Rhino is great for steering. This is the new shell.

Shell looks quite nice.

Steve, you are saying just get two servos? Let one just do the steering and the other one do the gas and brakes (front/rear)?

As for Gas/Brake servos. (Thunder Tiger) ACE DS1015 all the way.

And the green light you see if you look in the direction of Greenland isn't Northern Light, that is just my envy shining through.

TOP Nice car, I am DROOLING.

Its a lot of money for that truck. Darren, use to small servos, one for front brake and the other for gas and rear brake and a rhino for steering 3 in total.

All that alloy is indeed nice !... What throws me for the loop.... is the Plastic drive gear. It seems almost out of place and really does not seem like it should be there on such a nice car. I'd think that would be a FACTORY upgrade that would be already on the car!

THe color scheme will be nice on that !

Does this Horman come with a rollcage? Is it an option?

Maybe it handles so good it never flips over

Hi Guys,
Just to let you know that Darrens car is a Hoermann and NOT a Harm!!
The shell may fit the Leopard but would need some cutting, when get time I will see if it fits and then do some side gaurds to suit.
