Default What is up with FG Supply ?

What is the deal with FG Supply? I have finally got the money for my FG and they are the guys I was going to get it from because they were the cheapest now there web site says "F06007 - Not available anymore!". What is the deal? Not trying to bash or discredit a distrubuter just a little confused, can someone explain this to me? I mean FG is not going to quite making the MT-5 with the F-150 body on it are they?

FG has a short supply of monster tires right now. The monster models will not be available for a little bit. FG is not discontinuing it but FG Supply is out and will not get any more for a little while.

Do you have any idea how long a little while might be? I just noticed on FG Supply it also says the 6008 Statium Truck and the 6004/1 Comp. Monster Beetle (I think) is not available anymore either.

I got some more clarification. FG changed the part number for all the vehicles that are going to be available with pre-painted bodies. The new numbers will be as follows:

20000R Monster truck with White body
20010R Monster Truck with yellow body
20050 Monster truck with clear body
21000R Stadium truck with White body
21010R Stadium truck with yellow body
21050 Stadium truck with clear body
22000R Street truck with white body
22010R Street truck with yellow body
22050 Street truck with clear body
30010R Monster Hummer with yellow body
30030R Monster Hummer with black body
30050 Monster Hummer with clear body

there are more but they will be listed on our site soon.

There are a lot of other companies that have FG MT's in stock right now. You don't have to buy it dirrect.

I know this is a month old but Dirby I was wondering why you said this? Is the FG not as durable as the Baja, both being stock that is?

Where can I get a new MT-5 as cheap as my LHS can get one from FG Supply?

Look what you can do to the new FG Baja Buggy. The wheels are done with Orange dye.

Do you know if the roll cage on the FG Baja will fit a Firehammer?

There was some mt 5's on "The World's Most Popular Auction Site" the other night. You should buy one used and some some cash up front. If I had to due it again, that is what I would do.

My mate's selling his baja and trying an FG, his baja was good stock, it copped all the abuse (with the odd bent shock, busted suspension, etc which is to be expected when bashing) - its now had a race ported zenoah, 813 carb and TGN pipe fitted for about 6 months now and it eats itself alive - clutches, clutchbells, pinion bolts, exhaust head bolts, diffs and tyres. He got a bit too much stick from the boys last weekend, he prob spent $100 on repairs and still only ran for about 15 mins total on flat ground... now its for sale!
Not saying he won't encounter this with an FG but his baja is turning into a money pit, which would be alright if he still got runtime out of it but his nitros are seeing longer action. To put it simple, it was awesome stock but doesn't seem to handle the power the engine can throw at it now, just something to think about if you're a horsepower junkie

The motor mounts I agree with, just silly.

But you need to have a weak link in the drivetrain to prevent serious damage. The plastic gears work well provided you fit an alloy gear carrier to stop the spur melting.
