RE: my new Smartechs 4x4 truck
So what do you think of the new Titan? I ran mine for the first time today and was mighty impressed with the handling. 4x4 makes it awsome to drive. No doing donuts everytime you hit it and I could corner quite sharply at full boar. The engine put out about the equivalent of a 23 and although I dont think much of the stock radio and plan to change it ASAP it performed without any hassles.

No dogbone issues so far and the motor mounts are plastic. They do appear to be beefier than Bigfoot mounts but its hard to see without taking the engine out.
As for getting them in Oz, www.PowerSlideRacing.com.au has a shipment arriving mid August.

Are you asking about the Titan (what this thread is about) or the FG pictured above (NOW REMOVED BY MODERATOR - foxy42)

RE: my new Smartech 4x4 truck
Unfortunately I havn't had a chance to give it another run since my first brief run as my car spat a water pump and timing cover and its taken all my spare time for the last 1 1/2 weeks to fix it.
Only issue so far has been the throttle servo stopped, turned out to be a wire inside came loose easy fixed. The steering servo is a bit iffy when you first switch it on but comes good after a few cycles. I've ordered a 5745 to replace it and I'm fitting a decent radio as I've got a decent one to fit. Nothing really wrong with the stock radio though. The Rx switch is in an impossible to reach position, have to use a stick to operate it, I moved it to the top of the radio box easy fixed.
It comes with an engine that I think is of Smartechs own design. So far it has run well, nothing spectacular power wise, I'll try an x-can at somestage and see what that does.

RE: my new Smartech 4x4 truck
My Smartech Spider has the same engine only its 23cc. I have had no problems with it, and it seems powerfull to me. But I have never used any other cy or zenoah engine, so I have nothing to compare it to.
