Default Vent lines on Fuel Tank?

Why do you need two vent lines on certian tanks? It seems to me that one would do fine. The tank isn't split into two seperate halves. Can anyone clarify this for me? I'm putting together a new kit and the vent lines hit the pipe i'm putting on. Can I just use one line and plug the other hole with a grommet?

Any help would be greatly welcomed.

I am not sure why they use two. If it was me and I could only use 1 but were worried I would plug one up and drill out a little larger hole on the other and use a larger single line. seems to me that this would work fine.

FG Monster Beetle with a Heiss Tuning 4X4 kit. It has the leopard style fuel tank installed. The vent line is twice the size of the fuel supply and return lines, about 1/4'' or 6mm tubing.

it is a leopard tank but i didnt recognise the car as a leopard thats why i asked the leopard tank needs the 2 vents what you do is run the vent with the splitter over your roll cage and down and your other 2 go in the normal place and yes there is no problem with the pipe as the vent line should be no where near your pipe
