If someone has a DDM pipe on their Firehammer, and also a picture of it, could you post it? I am going to buy a pipe, and want to see how it fits under the body.

Here you go Nitro....Notice I added a FG gas tank because the vent lines are a major PITA! Took a little fudging and had to drill two new holes to mount the tank but I think it was worth it!

A LOT! I wheelied it so bad on the first or second run after installing it that the tip of the pipe actually dug into the grass and plugged up the pipe ans stalled it. I had to poke a small stick to get the dirt out. So you might want to get a wheelie bar too!

Where did you buy your FG gas tank, and what parts did you need to install it? The stock gas tanks are junk, I have 2 new tanks that leak, and one still in package. If it leaks im buying an FG Marder tank.

Hi Nitro,
Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation. I got the parts frpm FGsupply.com I think RC Nut's has it too. BUT you will need to get a Marder tank mount/cradle and tank and that is it. I'm still unpacking and could get the part numbers for you later tonight unless someone beats me to it.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered one from FGsupply the other day, I hope that I got all the right stuff. Here is what I ordered. It says tank solo complete, but should I have got the mount also, or is it included?

You know the mojority of fg suppliers dont have pics of parts i can understand that they cant post pics
of every nut and bolt but its like they dont make much effort to show any pics. Its a pain to look up the part
on the fg catalog just to see a pic then go to a suppliers site to order it.rc

Hi Nitro,
I Googled your part number and it looks like it is for an FG on-road and has the vent lines that will interfere with a DDM pipe.

I have put the DDM Dominator Low-Mid range tourque pipe on my Firehammer and still run the stock tank without issues. Yes the vent lines touched the pipe but I just used a couple zip ties to hold them to the cage and away from the pipe. I just put the DDM Dominator Mid-High range pipe on my Firehammer yesterday and also had no problems that a zip tie could not take care of.

It looks like the tank that I ordered is the same design as the stock Firehammer tank. If its better quality than the stock Firehammer tank I'll keep it, if not I'll ask FGsupply if they will let me return it for a marder tank. Either way, I just want to get back outside with my buggy. And thanks for looking that up bullmoose, now I know what tank I got.

Another Marder gas tank question. Did you have to cut a hole in the body for the gas cap? I had FGsupply change my order to the Marder tank because the other one was out of stock.

Yes. Maybe an inch high by 1 1/2 inches wide. The marder shell has a big enough hole to actually re-fuel it but I just cut mine enough so I could get the body on.
