RE: old qrs stadium truck!!!!
That is a modified QRS truck with a Winters Style Skellenger Rear, the rears are getting harder to find and the winters are getting even harder, the tires are from Ric's RC who is also no longer around, there are 2 sets of the tires on ebay now though.
That would be a nice one to own, but I think that the prices ebay is starting to bring are just a bit out of range for the average guy. The big problem is that if you were wanting to run the truck and you blow the rear, you cant readily get parts for them anymore, if you find a set of gears most guy's want in the 200.00 to 300.00 range for them.

nice truck to buy and run around gingerly.... wouldn't want to bash it up....... as others have said... too hard to find parts. I just found out a neighbor of mine has a RACO rabbit... toobad it is in far toomany pieces to even recognise what it is, or what it needs to run

RE: old qrs stadium truck!!!!
I often wonder if someone were to start making simmilar parts to this truck, with that style of rear end and suspention linkage, front end, etc, would there be a market to sell these parts, and or kits?
I love these trucks. No exposed gears, no plastic (lol), simple to fix, heck I can hand make most of the parts at home. But the major parts like rear ends, suspention parts, rims, chassis, and steering components would be difficult to make by hand.
Or how bout a newer 4x4 design based on the old QRS setup. A solid front axle for rock crawlers, or independent for the racer/bashers? Hmm, petrol powered crawler
From what I see from ebay, I think it would do well. Maby not an idea to retire on, but one that I think RC ppl will like to see, something different, i donno. Im curious to know if there would be support for an endevour like this?
BIG RIGZ RULE!

RE: old qrs stadium truck!!!!
Fr33ze,
I have wondered the same thing. Once there on Ebay they get more bids than any other auction I have seen, especially the Stadium Trucks and occasional Monster Truck. Honestly I think there would be a market, its the cost to have parts made in quantity that really breaks the bank. It would be great to have a kit available to.
Hmmm, I would consider the rear end to be "the major part", everything else seems to be easier to make by hand.
"BIG RIGZ RULE!" I agree 100%
One day they will be available and hopefully not cost and arm and a leg.
