Default Engine cutting out???

Hi RC Universe men,Bought a Beetle a while ago with a Zen 23 and it ran great for the first tank but after that it was soooo hard to re-start! I have to take the plug out and change it with another plus reset the carb back to factory[>:] It has had roughly 2 tanks through it and I cant understand it? I have an MT with a CY 26 and that runs like a dream.Bought a load of carbs off e-bay to see if that waqs the problem but the same happens no matter what.
Any advice would be much appreciated as I dont want to by a new engine .
Regards
James.

air leaks, bad lines, bad filter in the tank, or maybe even a bad gasket on the engine it self.

Rich carb settings will foul your spark plugs. If you would like some carb tuning instructions, shoot me a PM. The factory settings do not mean much, and some may even seize some engines, espically if modified.

Your coil could be going bad on you. ofcoarse it's happend to my truck, everythings hapopend to my truck
Like said b4, just check everything like fuel lines and gaskets. Did it have irractic idle before it cut out? could be your sylinder gasket aswell. Good luck and hope you find the problem soon so you can get back to some good ole bashing

I dont know a way of checking it. usually when it is bad. on stock needle setting plugs will foul out very easily. also when trying to start your engine it'll back fire like the timing is off. those are 2 i know of personally for symtoms of a bad coil. i had a coil go bad on me with a brand new 26 Zen just past break-in, so it does happen.
