RE: CVT Tranny for the HPI Baja
yeah, I fired it up on the bench when it was about half way done. There were no idler pulleys (the belt is too long and they only make one size for these CVT's) but the pulleys expanded and contracted as they should have. The my wife came in and told me to kill it. Probably because it was midnight and I was running at WOT! I'm sure my neighbors hate me.LOL

RE: CVT Tranny for the HPI Baja
Excellent work
Excuse my ignorance, but all I know of cvt's is there application in mopeds etc, I presume this is the same principal, and should give good acceleration AND good top end, so doing away with the compromise of a fixed gear ratio.
I might have to try this for my MCD, could you tell us where you sourced the parts ?
Cheers.
