FG onroad measurements?
Hello all, specifically those of you driving FG onroad cars.
If you have one, could you please supply me with the width and length of the aluminum chassis, the wheelbase, and the width of car, not including the wheels (ie from hub to hub).
Also, what gear ratio are you running and with which engine? Finally, if it's accessible, what is the inside and outside diameter of your clutch bell?
I know these questions seem strange, but I am a machinist and would like to build a similar car with the machining tools at my university. I would like to build it to FG specs so I can, in time, buy a nice body for the car. These basic dimensions will help me lay out the chassis until I have a clutch and differential (both will be purchased... probably the stock FG parts).
For now I have a new (used, lol) weedwacker engine waiting to be stripped down for weight.
For the clutch I am actually considering going with an HPI Baja clutch available here: [link=http://www.hostilehobby.com/product_info.php?cPath=106&products_id=1335]http://www.hostilehobby.com/product_info.php?cPath=106&products_id=1335[/link]
Considerations?
Thanks!
