Default Hitec 5745 Problems

This is the second one I have burnt up. I only had it for about 1 hour of running. I have an FG Monster Truck. When I turned on the radio and reciever the wheels automatically turn to the right. Then I made adjustements to the trims and such.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

YEP.......thats why alot of us use the hitec 805bb with a Y harness ....plenty of power

It supplies 343 oz-in of torque and and a transit time of .14s at 6V with the Y harness (275oz-in, .19s @ 4.8V without).

It features dual ball bearings, Heavy duty Horn & Hardware Set, and it is waterproof...cost about $40

Are you using it on an FG? And do you use a separate power supply for it?

Thanks,

Yes it works on FGs... the servo tray for the FG you have to remove a spacer on the Steering hole to accomadate the slightly bigger servo (2 small screws)

And no seperate supply other than the 6.0 volt required for our vehicles....the 805bb comes with the Y harness

it has less torque and power....for the 1/5 vehicles you need power for steering

Torque: 152.75 oz / 183.31 oz.in (4.8v/6v) 11.0 / 13.2 kg.cm

you are burning out the amplifier. You need to set the limits on your radio. It is why I run Spektrum. Nomadio also can be set with expos and other adjustments as well. I burnt an 805 out, but it was a bum servo from the factory, I mailed it in for service and and they sent back, and it works just fine. I use the 5745 for my throttle and disc brake servo. No issues.

Never had problems with my 5745s, I was running 4 of them on my on road car.

I run Futaba 3Pk and i set a limit.

The end points should be set between 90-95%. If you do this you will never burn out the servo. If by chance you get a faulty servo direct from the start, it will burn out right away. If you are using it for a while, then it burns out, it is not faulty, there was too much load put on the servo.

Listen to Dave. You will need to adjust the end adjustments on the radio itself. Lower it down all the way and turn the wheel adjusting it as you go. I have seen them burn up from slapping side to side a couple of times.
