Anyone got a Hummer with the FG wheely bar?
Weird, basically, the instruction (if you can call it that! lol!) pic, shows a much larger rear frame piece where the two stay bars from the wheely bar attach to the roll cage. I do not have this extra frame piece, and therefore nowhere to attach the wheely bar to. Is there another piece I need? Is there some trick I'm missing?

RE: Anyone got a Hummer with the FG wheely bar?
Hey foxy i have an H2 as well, i found myself using the wing mounts from the MT-5 and Marder to mount my FG roll bar. Then having to cut away at the tail gate of the H2 shell which sucks but good thing i have a beater shell as well as a show shell.. If i were you i'd try the wheelie bar from Fg-hopups.com, it shouldnt interfere with the shell at all plus it hgad two wheels lol

Thanks for the info, unfortunately, ordering from the US is difficult to say the least. I'm a bit miffed now to be honest. If it requires cutting a 150 euro body to fit, it will be going back to the shop. I'm now seriosuly considering an HPI Baja as well, instead of the 1/5th on-road. I think I'm gonna give up racing, it's just so costly and time consuming, I'll be a gas basher from now on.
BTW, that sites not doing business any more, I heard in another recent thread. It's Hellya's shop isn't it?

foxy, there is a specific FG wheelie bar kit for it if memory serves that will bolt right up to the Hummer.
But I could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure I have that item, but it is designed for 'winged' vehicles. You can see where it's supposed to attach to the wing mount, which of course the Hummer does not have. Do you believe there is a specific part for the monster and Hummer?
BadBoyHobbies, can you shed any light on this for me?

Hey foxy, you could always do what I did and make a rear bumper that extends far enough to act as a wheely bar and either attach wheels to it or make a wear pad at the edge where it drags the ground. The three unused holes that are already at the rear of the chassis plate work just right for this. I made both of my bumpers and it wasn't very hard.

Thnks for the idea, cos I've given up on the FG bar, I'm simply not prepared to cut that much body off at the moment (got the wing mount, mounted it all up, realised I'd have to cut from the mid of the rear window down to the bottom and said to myself 'Screw that!'). I will be doing something ghetto (which isn't really my style), but not until the truck has some runtime on it.
