Default Baja 5b worries

Hey guys. Every time i run my baja, the place that is the pullstarter fill with grass and that stuff. I'm worry what will happen after many runs like this. It will stall my pullstarter one day. Just curious what youguys using to prevent that thing.

If i close these holes of the pullstarter, might be a problem, such as overheating in the flywheel?

No it dosnt close it as its fully breathable just like the prefilters for the airfilters. Its what the cover/filter is designed for...to breathe easily but stop all the crap getting in there

For a cheap alternative just take some of your mom's or wife's panty hose and cut it up to cover the holes in the cover and the holes in the other side, bottom of flywheel. Take a hot glue gun and glue in place. Easy removal and it works.

just get the outerwears pullstart cover.. they are around 20 USD and they velcro on to the cover... they are easily removable and washable.. for the money, its not worth trying pantyhose or anything else and they are very durable... my last cover lasted more than a year.. I have a spare, but haven't had to use it yet... You can also try various mods that are available to help prevent grass from entering the side pods.. Mine are completely sealed when I bought a new shell.. other methods are open cell foam in the pods or even not running the bottom pods at all in the grass.. they all work fine....

Yes, air will flow threw the outwears covers..It is like a nylon based material also there is hole on the backside of you engine that should be covered up as well...The outwears on the front WILL NOT STOP EVERYTHING from getting into your flywheel area you have to cover the backside as well...I used some material from work, that they used from our machining mills too drain our lube through and I siliconed it on the back too cover up my holes, and it still breathes well also....I seen someone use cheese cloth also?

Its a cloth that is used to strain cheese, when making it that is.

Say you have a wet lump of cheese, not fully cured, and want to remove moisture.

Put it in some cheese cloth and squeeze the water out
