Default Anyone ever tried...

Putting a Baja truck body onto an FG monster? Say, for example, the one used on the MCD Baja 1000 truck? Is it possible?

I think that would look COOL. I haven't tried it, but now I want to.

Do it and let me know! Cos it's a nightmare to get parts here, I wouldn't want to go to all the trouble of getting one and find it didn't fit or something. I too think it would look good. I've personally got the FG tuned pipe, so it's all 'in the car' if you see what I mean, I don't think that would be an issue much.

Looks like it would fit perfectly if you had either the stadium truck tires and wheels or the marder tires and wheels.

Did you have any problems mounting it? I have a MT that I've been looking to throw that body on also. I have a set of rims and tires off a Marder and I'll buy a set of stadium truck rims and tires if the one from the Marder look too small. Thanks.

i've seen it mounted with staduims by someone this site but cant remember right now and i tihnk the only issue on full compression was very slight rubbing , im sure with different body posts you could raise the height a few cm's and it would help but not look as sleek .

Looks like it could be made to work well with some fabrication of the mounts. I'd raise it about an inch and a half higher at the front than you have it, sheograth, and about an inch higher at the rear. Maybe higher if more clearance is needed.
