where i can get a real hpi baja 5b ss kit? i've been checking around and can't find one in stock. so i thought i would ask on here before i back order another one. thanks for helping me out if you can

You may want to try doing a google search and checking out some of the smaller Mom-Pop Shops.
Little stores may have ordered in one or two and still have them on the shelf.
All the big boys have had them scooped up.
One of my buddies got lucky doing this.

Contact Willis Hobbies in Mineola, NY. I was just there yesterday and saw one one the shelf. They are one of the biggest hobby stores on Long Island and have a huge RC department so I'm sure they have more in stock.

thanks for the concern, they had one listed until i snagged it up. i went back to look myself, and now it's not listed. hopefully i don't get taking for a ride. they have my credit card info. i guess i'll keep you guys posted

Most likely means they only had one in stock.
Good companies set their sites up to either remove an out of stock item from the site or to place a backorder tag on the site so you know the status.
This is something I wish more on-line stores did. Nothing worse then sitting there waiting for something to show up that hasnt been sent.

You may want to follow up with a phone call to their shop just to make sure its there and your payment was received. I do this with any company I haven dealt with in the past. No phone number, no order.....

well guys, i received a conformation email today. it said everything is a go, so we'll see. i'm at work right now, i think i'm going to call them when i get home(after reading the last post. and i paid $919.99 plus shipping. i'll keep you guys posted of any new developments

The kit is cheaper than the RTR. Kit should cost around $876.00 and RTR should be $919.00

with about that price or more $ you want to spend you coulda grab your self a RTR from largescale

i tried r/c planet, even though they show them. they don't have any. i had to cancel my order from them, because i didn't want to wait. all that happened before i asked my question on here. as for the other place you linked to, i never heard of them and the web site didn't pop up in my google search

well guys, i just got off the phone with them and every thing is good. i was just told my baja went out in the afternoon shipment and they sent me an email with the tracking#. well i checked my email and the # was there, so i should have my new baja in a few days. plus i even got free shipping man i can't wait. i'll get back to you guys when i have the box in my hands. thanks for all the help
