I like that body! Hey I have a question, Are you guys running 2-cycle oil or 2-cycle synthetic? I went to my local small engine shop and toldhim I wanted the best 2-cycle oil they have! He handed me a bottle of Opti-2 $25.50 quart, The bottle says it a universal mix and to use the line in the side tube at the 1 gallon mark! Which is about 2oz. I emailed the company and they actualy called me an hour later to discussmy concern, I said this engine is 25:1 or 5.12oz per gallon of gas. He assured me that I will be fine and will see increased performance and motor life! Anyone have thoughts on this? I've also heard you should break in with oil for the first two tanks before moving to synthetic but he assured me this is not the case with Opti-2 and gave me his 800 number if I have more questions...

Glad to hear you got it figured out, there is certainly enough help on here and guys willing to take the time to trouble shoot issues as this is a great place for information which will only make the product better looking forward to some pics.

Thank You,

There as been an alot of ideas back and forth on this pipe and the other one which we offer http://www.fsracingusa.com/images/vi...PerfPipe.1.jpg I found a little how it works on 2 stroke tuned pipes http://www.rc-trucks.org/tuned-pipes.htm it really has all to do with the size and shape of the expansion chamber. The one down fall to the performance 1111102 is it runs really close to the back left A arm so it tends to rub under heavy suspension loads, its a pretty simple fix but I have not tried the other performance pipe that you have listed, it does come on the truggy that some may have received on here but everyone that has contacted me that received one of the truggys ends up ordering the one we offer as it has a bigger tuned expansion chamber. Hopefully someone else on here will chime in that has tried both and can tell us if there is a huge difference.

Thank You,
Scott

the other pipe only has one mount point, nice that it stays inside the truck, but in a heavy jump i think it might have tend to 'wobble' and cause gasket leaks at the engine mount. the next pipe i will be getting in the magic bullit!!

I have that one coming, but I think I'll still try the other pipe from FSRacingUSA too (wish I had before the dollar went to poop and the pipe was cheaper on the site) I have the 2WD versions of the truck and buggy

Also, what size are the inside bearings for the front steering hubs (need to replace these, seem bad from factory?)

Awesome, thanks Scott
I've been searching around and can't find were the other four of those bearings go (parts list says 6) 2 for front axels. I'd like to replace them all (assuming they are the same quality as the ones used in the front hubs).

on the subject of bearings does anyone know if a set of MCD wheel bearings would go straight in? otherwise where would I get a set of quality bearings?
also do the MCD shocks bolt straight on without any mods?

A bearing size is a bearing size no matter what manufacture makes the vehicle, as long as the bearing has a size stamped on the side of it any bearing in that size will fit right in, just look at the side of your bearing and get the size of it and start calling around to your local machine shops or bearing supply stores, luckily we have a bearing shop right down the road from us that gets all my business it sure is nice having a good bearing shop locally, they can even cross reference bearings and tell you what kind of grease is in them and what temp there designed to break down at which as helped me out tons especially when it comes to my supercharger bearings and jet drive impeller bearings, I havent had any fail in my FS truck yet but as soon as 1 does I will be heading down to the bearing shop.

Thank You,
Scott

the stock shock oil is not good, get some 1000 oil and shorten the travel of the rod with a piece of fuel tube just above the fork, make sure their is no air in the shock when you close it up,
