How do you tune a Gasser?
How do you tune it? Is it a necessity and do you actually see a performance increase? I know where the high speed needle and low speed needle is. I have tuned nitros and I am very good at it so I do know how it works. Basically I'm asking if there is any difference?

Its similar. Pretty much the same rules about richness and leanness apply. Biggest difference is that once you tune it you generally dont have to fiddle with it every time the wind blows like with a nitro. You can use the color of the plug as a gauge of how rich or lean you are running. Lean it out as much as you can while keeping a healthy plug, then richen it a tad and leave it there.

Just make VERY small changes. 1/16th of a turn at a time. My Baja needed only a 1/16th of a turn on the low speed, and 1/8th of a turn on the high speed. These engines are VERY sensitive to change, which is why yours didn't even want to fire up when the needles were off.

I hope its not like nitros where if the wind direction changes you need to retune....
