I want a BAJA 1000 I will be getting one soon, if you look at what they are worth compared to a FG, It is not that bad. They sure do look good.

RE: LOOKING INTO MCD
I have 2, a Baja 1000 Evo 3 and a Race Runner Evo 3, they are basically the same thing just a different body and different front shock tower. They are a little on the spendy side, but if that is not a to big an issue, then, its not an issue. they are pretty damn good cars. The first things I think that need to be upgraded is the motor block (I call it the gear block, since it has all the gears attached to it) Its a relatively soft plastic, and would considerably beef up the whole chassis if it were an aluminum piece (several aftermarket ones are available). I would also switch the smaller bearing blocks, to aluminum, and a CF servo tray would do the trick.
The dogbones all the way around are very sturdy, and so are the a-arms which have been made thicker on the Evo 3 as well as getting rid of the rose joints in favor of pins.
The one other thing I did on mine, was put drive boots from the Baja on the front to rear dogbones.
