Default Engine Problems! Please Help

Hello people,

I currently have a CY23 Engine and seem to have some troubles... The adjustment screws could be set right as well as the idle, but we have to put the idle screw in alot inorder to start it. The engine spews out alot of the oil in a brown/green color. When you start it up, the wheels start turning instantly. Air compression is working alright and the servo is fine and not putting on any throttle. Normally, unless u have the idle and adjustment screws so high, that when you put the end of the car down (while its running) the engine stops completely! Whats the problem with my engine guys? (pretty sure no air leak) Any ideas?!?!

By putting the idle screw in alot, lve had a few beers forgive me if this gats jumbled, you are opening the throdle effectively to start it, do you then screw idle screw back out when it started ?
Does it stay running ?
Are you lifting wheels of ground to start it, lm a little confused here ?
When you put car down and it stalls, sound like the clutch is stuffed or sticking, does car want to go as soon as you pull the pull start ?
Have l had a few to manyh ?

if your screwing in the idle all the way in order to keep the engine running , ther is two screws facing you and one screw for the idle , then there is two little screws , the little screw on the right sounds like it screwed in too much and the little screw on the left is screwed way out , you need to almost get these two little screws turned in at about the same amount to have a right balance , the idle should never need to be screwd in all the way , then if all else fails you need to check your radio fine tune settings and then take off the filter and see how much of an opening there is in the carby flap, the return spring for the carby should close automatically and there should almost be no gap for the carb flap when the engine is running and car standing still except for when you give it throttle of course .

Pretty Much, the 3 set screws have 0 affect on the engine. No matter what we do, when we do get the engine to start, it instantly wants to take off! It totally sucks because weve only had the engine for half a year! So, you think it might be the flap on the Carb and its sucking in the air and makes it go?

rebuild the carb. you probably have a bad gasket. A air leak is the problem.

sort out ya clutch first it sounds like its sticking...

senario; clutch is sticking, have to idle the engine high for the clutch to slip and engine to run, causeing massive strain on the engine causing it to over heat, spewing alsorts of gunk out the pipe ETC ETC

fix ya clutch then try it

take off the filter and see if the flap in the carb is closed , do this with the engine turned off . sounds more like the flap in the carb is open , but i dunno even if the flap in the carb is open just a little too much it can cause it to take off as soon as youve started it , if the carb flap is opened way out and you try to start it IT wont start at all , last case senario check the clutch you might have a broken clutch spring and the clutch is instantly engaging because of it ..HMMM most likely a broken clutch spring for sure .
