Question on tires and gearing. MT to Stadium tires.
Hey Gang, just wondering how swapping from MT tires to Stadium truck tires affects things. The gearing in the truck right now is 39 tranny and 25 off the clutch.
I searched the board to see topics, but nothing really dealt with this.
How does dropping down in tire size affect performance? Does it affect top end, bottom end or both and in what way?
My thinking is a larger tire would increase top end while decreasing low end and vice/versa. Am I thinking correctly?
Basically switching to Stadiums from Monsters should give more off the line grunt, while reducing top speed.
