I know I am comparing apples to oranges in some people's minds but how about this question.
The Baja 5 b SS and the Losi LST-2 for a speed test comparison.
I have the LST and I am trying to justify selling it to get into large scale
What do you guys who have made the switch think????

u know large scale parts normally cost more then the little scale part?

Can't compare the speeds as I never had the LST-2, but when was the last time your LST ran for 45-50 minutes without stopping?

I used to be a huge nitro guy, then I bought a gasser. The large scales are just too much fun, and way more user friendly. Of course you pay more for that convenience to enter in, but it is well worth the price of admission.

I have an Aftershock (with the 26ss and an HT pipe) and a Baja 5b RTR with a side dom and stock 23cc engine. I think the Aftershock is a bit quicker, but there is no comparison to controlling a 20+ pound rc, the smell of gas, and the sound of the pipe!

Each car is great for the character they posess, but seriously can not be weighed/pitted against each other.

Just buy the Baja and enjoy it for what it is ..........

like you said, it's like comparing apples to oranges. but just for the hell of it, i raced my neighbor's stock revo 3.3, and my slightly hopped-up baja ss is just as fast as the revo. he can beat me on take off, but after about 25 feet i'm right with him. i think that's good for a 2 wheel drive 25 pound rc.

it's simple......toss them both on a track with a full tank of fuel and see which one wins after 100 laps.....you can't compare a nitro toy with a gaser, you want a reason to sell the nitro? $25+ a gallon fuel 'nuff said

I will be getting the 5b ss
I like the buggy and the 4 wheel drive trucks I am just not impressed with any that I have seen.
Thanks guys the Nitro stuff is cool but after 18yrs I feel I need to step to something different cause the Nitro's just don't interest me anymore.

I was in the same boat as you and I made the switch. TBQH, I wish I had done it years ago. Enjoy and be sure and post some pics when you get your new rig.
