The entire Foxy stable...
Just some pics I took today for you guys... The peugeot (510mm wb proline) is now up and running and has done some drifting around my garage. It's gonna be fun! Drifting practice vids soon.
EDIT: Guess I should say what all the cars are! lol...
White Monster Beetle is an FG MB Pro with Zen 26 with DDM dominator torque pipe
Battered Red and White Peugoet is an MCD Rally Proline 510mm wheelbase with Zen 26 and TOPSA samba race pipe
Gleaming Red Evo 7 is an MCD Rally Blueline 535mm wheelbase with Zen 26 and Samba F1 pipe (I think)
Buggy is a Smartech 4wd Thunderbolt with a <censored> and an X-can.
EVO looks sexy in the extreme.

RE: The entire Foxy stable...
Well, it's not bad for only 1 year and a half in large scale.
I made a decision a couple of years ago that 5 is maximum. Any more, and not only you don't know which to run each weekend, but also which to hop up, etc.
Thanks for the nice comments guys. Miamizfinest, Baja was traded for the Peugoet. Underneath that battered body is a Proline chassis with a Zen and a TOPSA pipe, not to mention the dude included 4 complete sets of wheels and tires (5 including a set with destroyed tires), and the gravel conversion kit, which is $400 worth. It wasn't a 100% even trade, I lost a few hundred, but it's ok, I'm already enjoying the MCD more than I enjoyed the baja, and as you of all people know, I'm really an on-road guy at heart, and there was certainly no need for 2 RWD off roaders. The FG stayed cos I think it's more fun to drive than the Baja.
Frumpy, I haven't 'bought' any cars, since the FG a year and a half ago (my first gasser). At the start I had about 9 nitro models, full race spec most of them, and slowly slowly, they've all been traded off for gassers. I actually had to pay for half of the Evo, about 800E, so now I truly am skint. But it's all good. I'm going to get a subaru body for the short wheelbase MCD and then drift them together in the classic 4x4 drift battle of Subaru v Mitsubishi!!
The only trouble is, I can't decide which I want to drive. I like the Scooby and the Mitsi equally in real life. Not a bad dilemma to have though.

RE: The entire Foxy stable...
I know a lot of people will think that, but like I say, no need for 2 RWD off roaders, and I prefer the FG. I'm very happy with the trade I made, the peugoet drives great, the pipe is as quiet as the mielke was, and it drifts like a demon. I was drifting in a space only 50sq meters (5mx10m approx), at full throttle, it's so controllable in tight spaces, I LOVE it.
As for gearing it for top speed, yes, even with the stock gears you can gear it for 55mph I think, I don't have the gear chart handy, but that's one of the really nice features of the MCD drivetrain design. It uses 4 gears (pinion, 2 on the layshaft, and another to transfer the power to the centre diff) which are completely accessible and changed in seconds (eg swap pinion and layshaft gear, swap rear layshaft and drive gear, it has a few possible combinations on the stock gears). However, as you know, 4wd isn't ideal for speed runs, especially at this scale.
I was very lucky though, both cars are Zen 26 engined (Evo engine is brand spanking new), and those are the two best pipes available for the cars, so that's a nice thing not to have to worry about.

Nelson, how is the Smartech 4x4 ON road coming along?? I can't wait for that car.
I have two things for you which absolutely MUST be in the design. First, it must be 535mm wheelbase, and 400mm width (with FG standard wheels), and secondly it should have a locked centre diff.
Do those two things, and you'll be onto a winner (excuse the pun) .
For those not so up on Smartech models, they have a 1/10th car called the Winner.
