RE: Its almost time for my KM
good job on the goodies!! your really gona love the zen 26. revs up reall nice. most say evem better then the stock cy26 that come with the ss version. and that x-can will give plenty of torch to push the gears. i saw a vid of a stock km that was alot more slugish then the fueli 23 that comes with the rtr, so im sure your gona love it!! keep us posted.

correct me if I'm wrong, but they should be the same exact engine... I'd assume the tune is the suspect on why it seemed sluggish.

RE: Its almost time for my KM
my KM had a CY23 on it...and well lets just say it resulted in me ordering a Zen...same engines from what I have heard, but not sure...I will have some good run times on it tomorrow after one tank of easy going...I'll be at the beach till Saturday...
I dont know much about the large scale engines..just know that my KM was used, and it was a CY23cc..I expect much better performance from the Zen, and hopefully a much longer life from it...
Still waiting on UPS though..as soon as the stuff is delivered I will start taking pictures

Kemo.....
The Zen motor is a little more reliable.................have had cy 26 and zen....ease of tune was about the same.............
It is probably the tune on the motor ...............the Zen revs a little better

the Zenoah will please you, longer life, better materials, and more potent.
I hope to pick one up (4 bolt head) next year... but first I have to place an order for my redcat buggy (looking forward to it this month!)

RE: Its almost time for my KM
Finished....for now anyway
I can see several differences with the Zen, mabey due to a newer crank case design?...not sure. But it runs great, the X-Can sounds amazing, and the 6'' stingers really add alot of character to the rear of the buggy. The 8k rpm clutch spring gives the perfect amount of delay till the the clutch engages, and the OuterW filters add as much form as they do function.
I have a video, but the quality seems to be a little shibby, but I will have some better vids once I get back home.
Enjoy!

RE: Its READY!! KM pics
still under $700 total...
thats with HPI f/r a-arms, Hitec digital servo, Zen, and all the extras..
When I order the paddle tires, shocks, and a new body I should be right around $800...then the RR gears, and some other aluminum goodies.
but the DDM mints, were excellent!!
and no need to apologize, I dont mind sharing what I have invested...

My KM Baja came stock with a Sanren engine not a CY. The stock exhaust was so quiet it was crazy so I changed it and now it is really fast and strong, like Hellya said. I also believe that it took a couple of tanks to loosen it up.
