Default Engine priming question

The manual says to prime the bulb 4 times(on a whipper snipper/weed eater engine),but now that i have extended the fuel lines 2-3 times longer how do i know howmany times to prime the engine?

Don't worry about it at all. Keep squishing til you can 'feel' that the bulb is nice and full, then give it one or two more. That's what I've always done, I didn't even know there was a magic number! lol.

Yeah, just squish it till you can see the bubble is fairly full (theres usually a little air bubble in the top)

No, just do it by feeling. First it's empty and squeaks when you squish it, keep going, then it starts to get a bit resistant as it fills, then you'll feel that squishing it more isn't making any difference.

You're over analysing it naynay, just squish it until it feels right. There's no rule.

Don't worry, you won't flood it, if my limited understanding of how the carb works is correct, then over priming just sends fuel back down the return line. Very little actually gets past the needles without some suction from the cylinder.

Oh i thought the fuel when priming goes into the cylinder...i thought it was like a nitro engine when priming the fuel goes into the engine ,expecially with nitros you have to make sure you prime it 'the right amount' to much or to little it wont start.Well i learnt something today.

just keep priming until you see the bubble fill with fuel except for a small air bubble at top of bulb! easy as that!
