Has Smartech approached you yet to buy and use your video of their new buggy catching air?
I thought I noticed the buggy's front tires ballooning some on the video. Is it my eyes playing tricks or are the tires ballooning?

They certainly are!! The centre and front diffs unload a LOT. I'm looking into solutions, but as they are very similar to FG diffs, they don't hold silicone.
And yes, smartech already has my permission to use those videos. It's the least I can do for a free ported 23.

On-road vid next weekend for sure, of the stock mitsubishi. Just got to sort a problem with my throttle linkage. The stock MCD throttle linkage is utter poo!! It's too small to pass through a large scale servo horn, and it only takes large scale servos! lol, go figure. [&:]

RE: By far my best video yet...
OK Lars, here's the deal...
The part that the linkage wire passes through, which attaches to the servo horn, is not your normal horizontal piece of plastic which then pivots on the servo horn. It's a piece of alloy with a hole in it for the wire linkage, and a thread wher the part threads into the servo horn. The ludicrousness of this, is twofold... 1) if it screws into the (plastic) servo horn, how is it supposed to pivot as it needs to? 2) the thread is too short to even pass through the horn, let alone use the locking nut provided on the other side. I guess you're supposed to enlarge the hole and use the locknut loosely, but since the thread is 5mm at most (and needs at leas 3mm to go through the lock nut) it doesn't even pass through the horn. I've been digging around in my old parts box, and think that a part from my old HPI MT will do the job. By the way, you can't mount the Hitec 805BB in the MCD servo holes (not the stock ones anyway). I had to cut away some of the radio tray to accomodate the oversize servo, still, it's total overkill on brake duties. [>:]

That's the doodah! If it wasn't a massive overkill servo, and I wanted to drill my alloy 5745 horns, I could set it up like that. I got the 805BB for a bargain price, and thought it would be good for brakes. I was right! lol. [&:]

RE: By far my best video yet...
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I wanted to answer this question, and of course prostitute my videos again...
Dave, all the blooper reels are there in my profile. FG MB Pro JUmps and the one I linked above for the FG, and for the Thunderbolt (and the Thunderbolt 2, the evolution of the same car) as well. That one jump with the TB was properly awesome though.
