I was talking FG Formula 1 wheels they are 140mm Dia Baja rear's are 165mm so not that much difference! or maybe even FG Marde ron road wheels and tyres, I think they are 165mm Diameter.

For us, we race the Bajas on a road course, but there are jumps and obstacles that would positively KILL an FG. So offroad converted cars are the only way to run. I do have an FG Sportline that is in OK shape, it needs some repairs, but its just to sensitive in the setup department. As much as I like tinkering with the cars, doing the suspension after every heat and race just drives me nuts.

the Baja class we run is awsome, barely have to mess with the cars from their initial setup, and almost never have to adjust .

She's squattin kinda low. You might have issues with some of the obstacles.

Cool! I did a little upgrading to this one as a back up car for this Baja Auto Cross in San Jose. Try the GRP A tires in the rear and the FG M compounds in the front. The car hooks up like crazy.

No crawling, but we have speed bumps that sit a little over 2 in high. I guess the photo is misleading.

Wow. I know this thread is old and dead but I just laugh at it because people were giving Finest slack for converting offroads into onroads for speed. Here we are 10 years later and it seems like its the thing to do. Some of the faster electric guys are converting Traxxas slash for speed run. That was never intended for on road. And not to mention the 1/8 GTPs out there which all started life as 1/8 buggies whether converted or from the company. One of the fastest 1/5 is an HPI baja, my personal speed 1/5 is an FG baja, so on and so on. WOW.
Dont mind me, i was browsing looking for something and ran into this thread.
