Default FS engine DEATH ! ! Burial, Bio, & Pics Exclusive !

Hi, folks I am here to report the heart of the FS truck the 30cc engine finally gave out after 33 tanks, 3 more tanks than the review I posted on here "Life with the FS truck"! I and my friends out of a good laugh have gave it a proper burial. Here is a break down and history of this beasts life [:-]

Humble Beginning's - This Chinese made truck made it's way on U.S . shores mid 2008. In it was the 30cc black gas engine. It looked like any other engine you really couldn't tell from it by the outside but I kept thinking 30cc inside. It made you wonder. [sm=50_50.gif]I was thinking who made this engine a 8 yr old sweatshop kid, a asembly line who knows all I know this truck was ready to run !

Mid - It's life began from the very first pull of the cord. Vrahhhhmmm bababaabaa I didn't even have to tune it. It was ready to go. and it did. All I had to do was the maintenance and put gas in it and the FS engine went and went everywere it did. I put it thru tough tasks that some rc's never see. Long stretchs of full throttle runs, up steep inclines, hot and cold weather, mud, rains and sand bogging yup you name it. [sm=punching.gif] This engine liked it not even hestitating once until the end.....

End - This was the day that I dreaded. Out in the desert I noticed a loss of power the compression went lower and lower. Bad gas nope, I changed it. Spark plug nope I changed that too. Power was really lacking until thick smoke started to really come out the pipe then full on dark gray smoke[:'(] studder, studder POP, POP sounds like a Ford model T then it went Ka put ! it just sat there lifeless with smoke ozzing out of the pipe. I walked over and above looking down I tried to start it with no avail. I knew this was bad and that it was the end.

[&:]Autospy[&:] - I took it to my shop and stripped down the engine. I knew from the looks of everything the parts were well worn. This was the definite end of the FS engine. [:'(]

Burial - News had spread about the funeral service. This was a difficult time for us Rcer's. A sermon and proper burial was well deserved. [sm=cry_smile.gif]

Controversy - Everywhere I took this truck people asked about it most. Even with the MCD's in the car or any other 1/5 the FS was asked the most about.
Questions like -

1) whats that yellow one in there ?[sm=72_72.gif]

2) who makes that truck ?[sm=confused.gif]

3) is that one of those MCD clones ?

4) are those FS trucks any good ?

Conclusion - The FS had a good life. [sm=wink_smile.gif]I felt I got my moneys worth out of it after 33 tanks. Good news is now I will make the FS truck into something spectacular ! All the parts are on order now. The new FS will be posted soon !

So you ordered another FS 30cc engine? Did you consider ordering a CY or Zenoah engine from Dave's Motors? CY and Zenoah owners don't talk about complete engine failure after just 33 tanks. Maybe a head gasket and piston ring replacement.

Out of the three one I will pick. 30.5cc CY reed ported or 28.5cc CY race ported or 26cc CY motor.

Put a DarkSoul/CC 26cc power plant in there, there will be alot of breakages other than the engine. I'd like to see that.
