it wont. i dont think weve had much of, or any price increase or decrease in our large scales. look back to when the raco's were out, they were going for $800.00. and so were the traxxas monster buggy's too. and that was how many years ago? i think the buggy was more like $850-$899. almost the same as the 5b is today!! i dont remember how long ago it was, but it was many many years ago. i was looking into getting an fg sportsline. it was, i think 1200 coins.. its still the same today..

I honestly dont thin well ever see the price drop too low. Nowhere near the 500-600 dollar mark. I think it would be reasonable to see 799.99 as the norm in about a year or so. I have seen hobby shops use the 799.99 price to clear out some excess stock but the sale usually only lasts for a weekend, or a special "3 day sale".

well there are rumours that we will soon see hpi release a baja 5T based on a trophy truck thats going to be bigger than the 5b , they are talking about it in the hpi monster truck forum of this site , so thats why im thinking if they are really planning to bring out their new gasser truck we may indeed see some sort of price drop .

FGs have gone up ....
In 2005-2006 you used to be able to get any FG vehicle for $999 or less [&o] You still can on ebay once in awhile from 1 seller has the FGS for 999 shipped

Sportlines line used to be $ 799-899[]

That was with no radio systems TX/RX servos

Smartech's titan has come down in price......you can get them for $999 ............used to be $1300 RTR radio system included

You want a $400-500 baja.....get the clone hpi parts fit

Just paid £589 for my baby - arrived today. I don't think these deserve to drop that low - just put next to my new ERevo, and the ERevo looks like a toy (a very well designed one, of course!).

It's supply and demand, when everyone has a baja the price will drop. When large scale remote control buggies become as popular as drinking beer, the price will come down. So do your part and spread the fever. Maybe buy a couple more for yourself and buy them as birthday and Christmas presents for all of your friends and family.

No it's called bend you over and give it to you hard, the big companies charge us about 3-4 times more of what it cost them. Just think if they only charged us about $100.00 over their cost how many they would sell !!! They would make a whole lot more of money but they all just need to rip us off !!! It's the American way GREED !!

someone thought the same exact thing about "supply and demand" on a different forum, but then again he wanted to argue everything to get everyone on his side... and all ego argument for him. I'm afraid this hobby doesn't work that way.

if the price went down enough i would buy one from the states but i want to only pay about $900 with shipping thats what im talking about but i dont think its gonna happen anytime soon . I mean the local hobby shop is still selling the rtr baja for nearly $1500 and DDM has an rtr for $969 , man i wish i was living in america .

In order to have a price of $500 HPI would have to make the car for about $200 That just isn't possible. When you buy a chinese car for $500 you aren't getting the technology you get with a Baja that costs money. The KM version is only cheap because KM sells direct to dealers and a blow out price and probably (Not too sure of this) uses materials that cost less.
