new to GIANT SCALE!
i was just reading the baja 5b or monster buggy and ive always wanted a lage scale car!
at my lhs they have a baja 5b just sitting there in the middle of the store taking up half the store =P
i was wondering if i should consider getting one...
i am experianced with rc cars and know what im doing with them.
im just wondering if there really worth the 1 grand also how often they break and just random stuff about them.
thanks,
Brian

They are worth the money. No question about that. The Baja is one of the 'budget' giant scale cars as well. [X(]
Get one, you won't regret it. They are very durable, to a point. I mean, this is a 21lb car capable of 45mph out of the box, it's not going to do well in a hard impact with an immovable object, but general use, you will be fine. They're very strong. Check this out for an example of durability. The maker of the vid claims this is a box stock RTR with only an aftermarket exhaust (exhausts make a HUGE difference to these cars, giving you as much as a 30% power gain under some circumstances)...

You won't regret getting a Baja. Like Foxy said, they're cheap as far as giant scale goes - but the performance is excellent. The Baja is definitely the most fun $1000 can get you in this hobby, period.

RE: new to GIANT SCALE!
People keep saying that the Baja it so expensive....
Compare the price of a quality 8th scale to the Baja. By the time your done with the 8th you have exceeded the cost of a 5BRTR and in a lot of cases the cost of a hopped up SS.
My last 8th cost me 1,400.00 by the time I was done with it.

And you haven't even filled the tank yet!!
For me, getting rid of the glow sticks was worth a few hundred $$ alone!!
