I'm very excited
...because I have an HPI Baja 5B SS on the way! I already have a transmitter/receiver and throttle servo, but these are the pictures of the additional items I bought. I ran out of money before getting a light kit...maybe next week.
Did I miss anything important?

That body is sweet! Is that just going to be a show body? I can't imagine myself running with that nice of a body on my baja.

Failsafe/Kill Switch!!! I knew that something was missing. Thanks, Frumpy, I will get one before driving the buggy. [sm=thumbs_up.gif] I still have time since it has not even arrived yet.

The body came from:
http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...0%26safe%3Doff
^^^ For some reason I cannot seem to link to the paint scheme that I ordered, but if you go to the 'HPI 5B Baja Bodies' link on the left, it is the 5th one down.
I know that it is probably considered expensive and there certainly are other things that are more practical, but I have been seeing these paint jobs on-line for a long time and I wanted one. [sm=red_smile.gif]
As far as the starter pawl/ring, I replaced the broken plastic one on my FG Monster Beetle years ago, but couldn't tell a difference...except it did not break again. It should not be that tight, so something may be wrong. []

RE: I'm very excited
get a nomadio react radio, best on the market, I've a spectrum dx3 right now but will shortly upgrade to the react. Whilst my spectrum is ok the react is way quicker and 4 channel...everyone I run with has them, I think DDm has them on special right now for $269

Apparently, I can't stop buying the fine products from Dave's Discount Motors. About half is just cosmetic.
...I seem to be turning my Baja into some sort of orange monster. [sm=pirate.gif] I may have some sort of problem.

RE: I'm very excited
Well, the local hobby shop had the Futaba 3PM 2.4ghz for less than $200.00, so I went with that. I don't need all of the bells and whistles, I just don't want to have to bother with changing frequencies.
I'm getting happier...Baja arrives on Tuesday.

RE: I'm very excited
Well, I finished the build last night and my stock body today (true flame body on the way), so my new whip is done! I can't run it today, but hopefully I will make a video tomorrow.

RE: I'm very excited
Holy Crap! [X(] I just moved to the Houston, Texas, area from Enterprise, Alabama. As a matter of fact, I taught at a school in Dothan this past year, so we were practically neighbors....crazy world.
I didn't get the Diemaster killswitch, but I do have an electronic failsafe, a strong return spring and the failsafe built into the radio system, so I feel pretty good.
